Thinking of volunteering however not sure of where to start? Here are some useful websites and organisations that will get you started:

http://www.do-it.org.uk – The national volunteering database that contains over a million volunteering opportunities.

 

http://www.IVO.org – Contains volunteering opportunities, enables you  to connect to a national network of volunteers and is a platform for keeping in touch with volunteer managers and volunteer involving organisations across the UK.

 

http://www.charityjob.co.uk – The UK’s busiest charity job site but also contains a large amount of volunteering opportunities.

 

http://www.reachskills.org.uk  – Database of Skills Based Volunteering opportunities.

 

http://www.CSV-RSVP.org.uk – Database of volunteering opportunities and information for over 75 year old volunteers.

 

http://www.vinspired.com – Database of volunteering opportunities for 16-25 year olds.

 

http://www.worldvolunteeringweb.org – Packed full of information and articles for and about volunteers.

 

http://www.volunteering.org.uk – The home of Volunteering England, full of information sheets and resources for volunteers and volunteer leaders alike.
